A POSITIVE LOOK AT THE HOOD

RiskyRobTV created a wonderful video that pays a little respect and support to those LIVING in the hood by asking the question, "What's Good in the Hood!?" Prankster Rich Ferguson has worked in a unique collaboration to share this video. Please enjoy and share the message.

Besides the heartfelt message in the video, we felt this needed to be shared because of the direct link to "prank" videos. Very often, when you see a prank video that is not in the "hood," you'll see comments below it such as, "Do it in the hood!" What people are referring falls into two categories. One, the great reactions seemingly expected by people of color. Come on, you know it's often true! There's a spirit that comes out culturally not found in the average white person when dealing with pranks, magic or shocking entertainment. I'm sure there's many factors, but I've found it clearly to be the case. Two, screwing around or harassing those generally in less fortunate environments, fighting, fake and general violent "pranks." I'm a fan of the first and not a fan of the second. We agree that doing pranks in the hood CAN indeed be a goldmine for reactions, as long as there some respect and reasoning for it. All that said, here's a nice look into the hood by those that LIVE there.

One man said, "You need to show more good than bad... then that way, the people that looking at the good want to do good. If you show bad... what are they gonna follow? They're gonna follow bad. We gotta get away from that! You know, and bring a positive outlook to the hood! A positive reach! A positive goal!... God gave us all choices... right or wrong..."

Another had this perspective, "This generation of young people that's here [in the hood] ... just look at them in another 50 years from now and see where they're gonna be at because they are wakening up! I think this generation is going to do tremendous things."

We think this video is tremendous. Thanks for watching.

Pranking Airport TSA Security! Are you CRAZY?

Pranking Airport Security!? Are you crazy!? That's exactly what magician and prankster Rich Ferguson did at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.

How can you pull of a public prank regarding "reporting suspicious activity" at an airport without being arrested? You see, there's "stupid edgy" pranks and there's "smart edgy" pranks...  "Stupid edgy" pranks put people in harm without any care, understanding or appreciation for people's safety or feelings. "Smart edgy" are pranks that appear to being going in an extreme direction, but have a twist that makes people smile, empowered or aware... and always leave them stoked to have been pranked in the first place.

This is the perfect prank. What had happened is the entire Chicago airport was shut down due to extreme weather. A plane that morning even had it's nose blown off by lightening but luckily landed safely. Some people had nowhere to go for over 28 hours. Thousands of people were stranded and upset but it didn't stop magician Rich Ferguson from making the most of it and bringing smiles to people's faces in what looked like one heck of a risky prank. This prank also helps put into perspective some issues pertaining to air travel. It's worth a look and definitely worth sharing.

Watch as airport TSA security and airline workers assume they are about to be hit with intel that involved something suspicious or dangerous... just to be tricked into a magical experience instead! You can see the tension release on the faces and the pure joy created:

Homeless Man Pays for Parking : Human Kindness Prank

What if a homeless man asked you, "Got Change?" then proceeded to PAY for your parking? This prank and social experiment video opens some eyes. It's amazing that if you give a little kindness, you'll get a whole lot more back.

In this unique social experiment, prankster/magician Rich Ferguson utilized a friend Erik Jones to execute another play on words type prank based on kindness, awareness and preconceived notions.

It's interesting to see that nearly everyone treated Erik as someone invisible and consistently told him they had "no money." However, after they are treated to parking and truly understood the question, "Got Change?" was directed to them and their needs, they lit up and truly LOOKED at Erik for the first time.

What was not shown in the video was the number of vehicles pulling into the empty parking spots, noticing Erik with a "Got Change?" sign then pulling right back out. Most of us just do not want to be bothered, harassed, solicited... we get it. What else was not shown were people hiding their belongings when they looked up and saw Erik outside their vehicle! We hope that approach, human kindness and not judging a book by it's cover prevailed in the message here.

Please enjoy the video and share it with everyone you know.

REVERSE Homeless Experiment

A social experiment about giving and human behavior... What would YOU do if a homeless person offered you money? This is what was tested is this public experiment.

Magician Rich Ferguson came up with a duel meaning message and experiment and had Erik Jones (JoneseyTime) pose as a homeless man. By the way, Erik had recently done a Santa donation public service prank and had the wild hair for the homeless prank and experiment.

What was fascinating in this first video is the fact that kids seemed to SEE immediately that the homeless man was offering money, while adults were obviously conditioned to only see and hear something negative. Additionally, it was interesting that after an entire day of filming people take and give money, the pranksters ended up with nearly the exact same amount of money they started with... In the end, the good and bad, the needy and good-hearted balanced out. All is good.

As a follow up to this amazing social experiment, the guys did an intriguing Reverse Homeless PRANK too! Imagine sitting on a bench enjoying the day and a homeless guy hands you a few bucks and says, "Here you go. I know what it's like to be homeless.... too." Subtle, intelligent humor at it's best. Enjoy.
